Doing My Part

I always want to be a good steward of anything I've been given.  Which is why when I prayed about the whole idea of starting a business, I knew I had to use anything I was given to help those in need.  I knew that a portion of what I made through this business needed to be invested into Christ's kingdom.

The specific need the Lord placed on my heart was children, especially orphans.  And BOOM! right after I prayed about I had two close friends announce they were pursuing adoption (one domestic, one international).  I knew I needed to reach out to one of these families and do what I could to help them.

In the months that we don't have a family to partner with, the portion will be given to a ministry that is near and dear to our hearts:  Orphan's Faith Home in India.  My husband and I have supported a child there the past several years, and we stay in regular contact with the orphanage director.  He keeps us up-to-date not only on the children, but also on local Indian ministers who need our prayers and financial support.  You can read about other ways to help orphaned children in India here.
